Colleen Peterson Stage Outfit
The suit and cowboy boots seen here were once owned by singer-songwriter Colleen Peterson. A fixture on the Canadian country-folk music scene in the ‘60s and ‘70s, Peterson released her first solo album Beginning to Feel Like Home in 1976, earning her a second JUNO Award for Most Promising Female Vocalist in 1977. As a songwriter, Peterson brought a wide range of musical influences to her country material, and her songs were recorded by artists such as Anne Murray, Ronnie Prophet and Sylvia Tyson. She was posthumously inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame in 2000.
