Doug Edwards Guitar
This guitar was used by Canadian composer, musician and multi-instrumentalist Doug Edwards to record the hit love song "Wildflower" with his band Skylark in 1972. The song features a haunting solo by Edwards and topped charts in Canada and the US, going on to be inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2011. The guitar is considerably changed from its original state; its well-loved, long-time use is shown by the significant "belt buckle rash" on the back and numerous repairs and customizations. Edward's career after Skylark included contributing bass on Glass Tiger’s "Don’t Forget Me (When I’m Gone)", playing on the Poppy Family’s "Which Way You Goin, Billy?" and being a member of Canadian Music Hall of Fame-inducted band, Chilliwack.
